Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation of wildlife and habitat conservation programs and projects.
  • Conduct fieldwork, including data collection, species monitoring, and habitat assessments.
  • Participate in research activities, such as data analysis, literature reviews, and report writing.
  • Support community engagement initiatives, including environmental education and awareness campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the WildTrust team and partners to develop and implement conservation strategies.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in workshops, events, and outreach activities.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and management of conservation databases and records.
  • Stay updated on relevant research, conservation policies, and best practices in the field.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ethical standards during fieldwork and project implementation.
  • Contribute to regular progress reports and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree program in a relevant field (e.g., environmental science, biology, conservation, ecology, or related disciplines).
  • Passion for wildlife conservation and a strong commitment to environmental sustainability.
  • Excellent observation and data collection skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey information and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to adapt to different working environments, including fieldwork in remote locations.
  • Basic knowledge of conservation principles, research methodologies, and ecological concepts.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for data analysis and report writing.
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and actively contribute to conservation efforts.
  • Valid driver's license (if required for fieldwork) and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Knowledge of local flora, fauna, and ecosystems is an advantage.
