Responsibilities
  • Conduct research, gather data, and analyze information to support programmatic initiatives and policy development.
  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of projects and programs related to child health, education, nutrition, protection, and other relevant areas.
  • Contribute to the development and dissemination of communication materials, including reports, presentations, and advocacy documents.
  • Support knowledge management efforts by organizing and maintaining relevant databases, resources, and documentation.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, and field visits to gain firsthand experience of UNICEF's work and interact with partners and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide administrative and logistical support, ensuring smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Contribute to the drafting and editing of project proposals, concept notes, and funding applications.
  • Stay updated on global development issues, policies, and practices related to child rights and UNICEF's focus areas.
  • Adhere to UNICEF's ethical and professional standards, including confidentiality and respect for diversity.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the team's goals and objectives.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a relevant undergraduate or graduate degree program (e.g., international development, social sciences, public health, education, communications, etc.).
  • Genuine interest in child rights, international development, and humanitarian work.
  • Strong analytical and research skills to gather, analyze, and present information effectively.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to convey ideas and concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in using relevant computer software and tools, including MS Office.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse team environment, demonstrating adaptability and cross-cultural sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated commitment to UNICEF's core values and mission.
  • Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of other UN languages (such as French, Spanish, Arabic) is an asset.
