TB HIV Care is a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing, controlling, and reducing the impact of HIV and TB infections in South Africa. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our internship program. The internship will provide valuable hands-on experience and an opportunity to contribute to our mission of improving the health and well-being of individuals affected by HIV and TB.

Responsibilities
  • Support Program Implementation: Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of TB and HIV prevention, care, and support programs. This may include supporting community outreach activities, conducting educational sessions, and providing administrative support.
  • Data Management and Analysis: Assist in data collection, entry, and analysis for monitoring and evaluation purposes. Ensure accurate and timely data capture, adherence to data management protocols, and assist in generating reports.
  • Research Support: Provide assistance in research activities, including literature reviews, data collection, and analysis. Support the development of research proposals and contribute to the dissemination of research findings.
  • Training and Capacity Building: Support the development and delivery of training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of healthcare workers, community members, and other stakeholders involved in TB and HIV care. Assist in developing training materials and conducting training sessions.
  • Program Monitoring and Evaluation: Participate in monitoring and evaluation activities to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Assist in conducting site visits, data verification, and performance monitoring.
  • Collaboration and Networking: Engage with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, community-based organizations, and healthcare facilities, to foster collaboration and promote the integration of TB and HIV services. Attend meetings, workshops, and conferences as required.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree program in a relevant field (e.g., Public Health, Social Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, or related disciplines).
  • Passionate about public health, HIV, and TB care and a strong commitment to making a positive impact on communities affected by these diseases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
