Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation of social development programs and projects.
  • Conduct research and analysis on social issues affecting communities.
  • Provide support in organizing and facilitating workshops, seminars, and community events.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document preparation.
  • Collaborate with department staff to support initiatives aimed at poverty alleviation, child protection, gender equality, and community development.
  • Engage with beneficiaries and stakeholders to gather feedback and assess program effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the development of reports, presentations, and other communication materials.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree program (e.g., Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Public Administration, Development Studies, etc.).
  • Passion for social justice and a commitment to promoting human rights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Knowledge of local communities and social issues in Gauteng province is desirable.
