Responsibilities

- Support party officials and politicians in their day-to-day activities, including attending meetings, drafting correspondence, and coordinating events.
- Assist with constituency work, engaging with constituents, and addressing their concerns.
- Monitor and analyze political developments, both nationally and locally, providing updates and briefings to relevant stakeholders.
- Support election campaigns by participating in campaign activities, such as voter outreach, canvassing, and organizing events.
- Contribute to social media and communication efforts, including content creation, monitoring online discussions, and responding to inquiries.
- Collaborate with party officials and colleagues to develop and implement community engagement initiatives and programs.
- Attend relevant training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance knowledge of political processes, public policy, and campaigning strategies.
- Participate in team meetings, discussions, and strategic planning sessions to contribute ideas and insights.
- Adhere to the values, principles, and ethical standards of the Democratic Alliance.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in politics, public policy, and South African governance.
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a relevant degree program (e.g., political science, public administration, international relations, law, etc.).
- Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a fast-paced political landscape.
